EMDR TRAINING
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is one of the most effective, evidence-based therapies for trauma healing. At The EMDR Guide, we offer EMDRIA-approved trainings designed to give you both the knowledge and the confidence to use EMDR effectively with your clients.
This EMDRIA-approved training equips therapists with the core skills and supervised practice needed to begin using EMDR in their clinical work. Claudia’s approach blends clear teaching, real-world application, and supportive guidance—so you leave ready to integrate EMDR with confidence. You’ll receive:
A complete understanding of EMDR’s 8-phase model
Practical tools to implement immediately
Consultations to build your skills
A supportive community of peers on the same journey
40 hours of instruction - covering all requirements to become fully trained in EMDR
10 hours of consultation necessary to complete the training.
Upon completion, you will officially be EMDR trained.

WHY TRAIN WITH THE EMDR GUIDE
Claudia has been practicing since 2010 and is known for her clear, approachable teaching style. She creates a learning environment that is professional, supportive, and grounded—balancing the science of EMDR with the art of guiding people through healing. As a bilingual trainer, Claudia offers trainings in English and Spanish, expanding access to EMDR for diverse communities of therapists. Whether you’re starting your EMDR journey or seeking to grow as an experienced clinician, Claudia will walk with you as you strengthen your skills and expand your impact.
ELIGIBILITY:
Participants in the training must be Licensed Mental Health Professionals (hold a clinical license in psychiatry, psychology, social work or counseling from their state) or be a state-registered intern or a student in a graduate educational program that will eventually make them eligible to obtain one of those licenses. Students and interns must have at least six months of clinical experience under the supervision of a state-licensed Mental Health clinician, under whose license that clinical experience has been obtained. The supervisor is not required to be trained in EMDR. Those under supervision must have their supervisor email claudia@sacredspace-counseling.net stating eligibility/preparedness and supervisor’s acknowledgement that EMDR facilitators/consultants do not provide supervision. For graduate students, the supervisor also needs to state in their estimation of the applicant’s clinical skills that they believe the applicant is sufficiently prepared to take this training.
NOTE:
This course includes several facilitated practicums in which participants will have the opportunity to practice what they are learning and to have the experience of being a “client” when other class members take the role of the therapist. If you do not feel psychologically stable enough to participate fully in this practicum as “client” you should not register for this workshop. If you are currently a client in psychotherapy, please consult your therapist about whether he or she thinks you can safely participate fully in this training.
